Yesterday a there was an electrical shortage that caused an explosion caused serious damage to ThePlanets datacenter in Huston. The explosion was so powerful it knocked down 3 walls. As a result more than 9000 servers are affected, one of them being my own Dedicated server that I have thought HostGator. As a result my Traffic Exchange 247TrafficPro.com is down. While Hostgator has promised give one month hosting for free. Not that it matters for me. The damage this does to the site is far worse, and unfortunately the whole situation is out of our hands.
On a positive note. I got my PS (Private Server) up and running on Dreamhost now. Yes, I know I posted earlier I would not be doing the PS as I had to move one of my sites because of other limitations at Dreamhost. However, my Dreamhost account was under heavily load as the other sites kept growing and I had no choice. Unlike other hosting companies Dreamhost contacted me with detailed stats on my load etc and advised me to take actions. I did and everything is now ok. I even got the personal contact details of one of the support representatives.
Dreamhost continues to be my favorite hosting provider.

I mentioned a few days ago that I ordered a PS server with Dreamhost. However I learned today that they have a out going email limitation in place. The limit is 200 emails pr hour. If you send more they are simply bounced. Dreamhost can increase your limit however its still a limit, and in my opinion its too low and restricted. After you verify that you are anti-spam compliant. Have a double opt.in system and log IP address and timestap they can increase your limit to 500. I run several membership sites and 500 is just too low. Its a shame really coz I just love their hosting services. Its the best I’ve tried. While my sites have thousands of members they only recently told me about their limit. Since I now have to move my most resource intensive sites I’m in no longer need of the PS services they offer.
I do have a dedicated server at HostGator, another fantastic hosting company. My first contact with them turned out to be a total disaster however they quickly resolved my issues, they actually called me on the phone and resolved my issues. I am on their basic dedicated plan and will need to upgrade my account if I am going to host all my membership sites with them. I’ll keep you posted on the developments

Yes, TrafficSwarm – the worlds largest traffic exchange hit a new milstone – 500.000 members. WOW. Thats simply amazing. The growth at Traffic Swarm has been phenomenal. The results I receive from them speak for themselvs. The leads that I generate from Traffic Swarm are one of the best converting. This is a traffic exchange that is in its own league.
Another very effective traffic exchange that hit a new milestone as well is SWAT Traffic. This exchange as most of you know is run by no other than Jon Olson himself. Congrats to both of them.

Toady I just wanted to make a brief post about hosting. Hosting/ISP companies are an inevitable part of life when making an online presence. Personally I have 3 hosting accounts that I use. Where I chose to host the site depends on its content and type.
My personal favortie hosting company is Dreamhost, its there most of my sites are hosted. I’ve been hosting happily with them since 2006. While their basic account is enough for 99% of those who are in need of hosting, I made the decission to upgrade my account to a “Private Server”. This will allow me more resource and give me protected CPU and memory, while still on a shared server it will be isolated from the rest of the user. Whats awesome with this feature is that you can adjust your guaranteed cpu and memory on the fly with a simple slidebar. Their PS Service even includes a dedicated IP. I’ll post more the PS is activated on my account.

I have been using traffic exchanges for a couple of years to successfully bring leads to the programs I promote. Today I just briefly wanted to mention a site created by Steve Ayling a known and respected person in the Traffic Exchange community. The site name explains it all… WhatIsATrafficExchange.com? Its a perfect resource if your looking for some information about traffic exchanges and which ones to join. There are thousands of traffic exchanges on the Internet however only a fraction of them are worth your time.

Traffic Splash hit another milestone yesterday by hitting 20.000 members. A great achievement in short time. Only proves that this is one active Traffic Exchange where you need to have your page(s) rotating as much as possible.

The server on that my blog is hosted on has had some issues and for this reason the site has been down, anyway its back up now and running smooth. Meanwhile SavvyClicks hit 10.000 members, its a few days ago, so the figure is probably around 10.500 or so by now. Congratulations Harry on hitting this new milestone.

A New and rewarding feature has been implemented on 247TrafficPro.com. Namely Dynamic Surfing ratio, not only that we have also made a special twist to it to make it extra fun and rewarding. That is, if you surf the next day, you keep your previously earned ratio. Here is the current setup:
1: Free Members:
Initial ratio: 0.33. 1 – 24 pages surfed.
Second ratio: 0.5. 25 – 49 pages surfed.
Third Ratio: 0.75. 50 – 74 pages surfed.
2: Pro members:
Initial Ratio: 1:1. 1 – 24 pages surfed.
Second Ratio: 1:1.25. 25 – ~ pages surfed.
What ever ratio you stop at the current day, you will receive as the base ratio the following day. This is an awesome extra bonus. Make sure to surf at least 25 pages a day, its gonna take you LESS than *5* minutes a day and will increase your exposure dramatically.
This in combination with the earlier bonus implemented, where you earn up to *15* bonus hits for every 15 set of pages you surf is a very good reason to surf at least 25 pages a day. Surf another 5 pages and hit 30, and you’ll have a second chance to win up to *15* bonus hits.
The bonus page rewards with either hits, banners or text ad impressions.
Now go to www.247TrafficPro.com and surf at least 25 pages for maximum traffic to your websites.
Have a great day.
